Hi,

I am Jeremy the founder of ‘Sweet As’ Sauces, originally from New Zealand where I trained as a chef and gained a Diploma in Hospitality Management before working in various top level restaurants. I moved to the UK in 1999 where I changed careers and then proceeded to work in Finance for 20 years.

The story of ‘Sweet As’ Smoky Chilli Oil started around 2016 when Sam, my wife, and I wanted to have some kind of chilli condiment at home we could constantly add to our meals to easily enhance the flavour and add that chilli hit of course. The recipe evolved over the years as it took on increasing market trends such as removing any refined sugars, using rapeseed oil for its great all-round qualities as well as the health benefits, and adding the smokiness in which we believe adds so much.

Our friends started to comment about it and asking for it more and more and, to be fair, without their encouragement and support you would probably not be reading this today! And from there the story began ….

We hope you enjoy ‘Sweet As’ Smoky Chilli Oil as much as we do and use it on everything like the way it was originally intended.

Kind Regards

Jeremy

‘Sweet As’ Smoky Chilli Oil, born in New Zealand, made in the UK

Why we use Rapeseed oil

Rapeseed Oil is:

Low in saturated fats – with less than half the saturated fats of Olive Oil

High in essential fatty acids Omega 3, 6 and 9

Rich in Vitamin E

Omega Fats:

Did you know there are two types, Omega-3 and Omega-6, some types of Omega-3 and Omega-6 cannot be made by the body and are therefore essential in small amounts in the diet.

Polyunsaturated fats are vital for health but we need the right balance of Omega-6 and Omega-3.  Research suggests the ideal ratio is 2: – the exact ratio of the rapeseed oil we use.

Vitamin E Facts:

Did you know Vitamin E has several important functions, for example, it acts as an antioxidant which protects cell membranes.  This helps to maintain healthy skin, eyes and strengthens the immune systems.
